Mark Thompson Media will be returning to Rio de Janeiro in November 2024.

Join us for a unique experience walking to various locations around the city. You’ll have access to my H6D-100c digital medium format. You get a hands on experience with one of the worlds most precise cameras to record your best shots in Rio de Janeiro. The image quality of this camera is second to none and the reproductions on paper are truly magnificent. Together we can make fine art works for your wall that you can call you own from intention to capture to presentation.

Places of interest include the Santa Teresa tram way. The cities inner architecture. The Royal Portuguese Cabinet of Reading. The Sugar Loaf and surrounding beaches. Pedra de Gavea (and it’s side detour through the favelas) If you have the time, we’ll also take a drive down the coast to the incredible historic town of Paraty. We will base out of Flamingo which is ideally located next to the Subway and walking distance to the City.

You will need a passport and travel visa (if required) Make your own way to Rio (we will share our travel information) Our intended stay is Air B&B in Flamingo, typically $30-$60/night. I’ll provide refreshment breaks though out the day but main meals are at your discretion. It will be hot so bring comfortable clothes and good walking shoes.
